Northlight is a community referral and navigation hub. Help us connect women to the right resources at the right time — through volunteering, partnerships, or advocacy.
Every role you play strengthens the network that women depend on when they need it most.
Our volunteers are the heart of Northlight. Whether you're answering crisis calls, curating resources, or educating the community — your time creates real change.
Provide compassionate, trauma-informed support to individuals calling the 24/7 hotline. Receive comprehensive training in crisis intervention, active listening, and resource navigation.
Help maintain and update the Mini Resource Center (MRC) by researching, verifying, and curating community resources for mental health, housing, legal aid, and support services.
Lead workshops and presentations about mental health, crisis support, and trauma-informed care in community settings, schools, and partner organizations.
Provide ongoing emotional support and mentorship to individuals navigating the space between crisis and stability. Share lived experience to inspire hope and empowerment.

Join our verified network of mental health providers, housing agencies, legal aid organizations, and wraparound services that we connect individuals to through warm referrals.
Support our mission through financial contributions, employee volunteer programs, in-kind donations, or sponsorship of specific programs and initiatives.
Collaborate on research projects, program evaluation, curriculum development, and student internship/practicum placements in crisis intervention and social work.
Ready to explore partnership opportunities? Let's start a conversation about how we can work together.
You don't need to volunteer or donate to make a difference. Advocacy — spreading awareness, sharing stories, and staying connected — is powerful support.
Share information about Northlight and the gap in crisis support systems on social media, in your community, and with your networks.
If you have lived experience with the challenges of accessing support, consider sharing your story to help others understand why this work matters.

Whether you answer calls, curate resources, partner with us, or simply spread the word — you're helping build a system that ensures no one has to face crisis alone.
